Clean Indoor Air Advocates Program

Mitigate the Risk of COVID-19 in Nursing Homes

Critical vulnerabilities common among occupants, such as pre-existing health conditions, high occupancy levels, and extensive person-to-person contact within the facilities, make nursing homes particularly susceptible to the adverse effects of poor indoor air quality because of these vulnerabilities, proper ventilation and filtration are necessary to mitigate the spread of airborne viruses and other contaminants.

Ideal Applications

EnviroKlenz Air Purifiers work to remove airborne contaminants in high-traffic areas such as:

Clean Indoor Air Advocates Program

Through the Clean Indoor Advocates Program (CIAAP), Timilon has set forth to create safer indoor spaces and educate communities on the importance of better indoor air quality. The CIAAP works with community leaders to create clean air action plans that not only enhance filtration through indoor air quality improvements, but also promote community awareness and engagement.

As part of this program, Timilon pledges to give back 2.5% of all EnviroKlenz Air System purchases made through the CIAAP in order to fund future donations of indoor air quality improvements to non-profit organizations that do not have access to grant opportunities. This is Timilon’s way of spreading the benefits of cleaner indoor air to everyone, giving peace of mind at every level of the community.

To learn more about securing available grants and other resources for indoor air quality improvements, sign up for the upcoming webinar on June 28th, at 11 am EST.

Our Steps to Success

Timilon closely follows the guidelines of EPA’s Clean Air in Buildings Challenge to help achieve its objectives and improve the safety of indoor spaces. Timilon works to provide end-to-end solutions for Customers to make improvements to their spaces through the following steps:

Grant Assistance

Work with the Timilon team to secure grant funding to assist with implementing your ventilation improvements.

Clean Air Action Plan

Organize an online or in-person site visit with the Timilon team.  The team will then create an Indoor Action Plan for the facility.

Optimizing Air Filtration

Installation of EnviroKlenz Air Systems portable devices for optimized filtration.

Community Awareness Action Plan

The Timilon team will distribute community awareness materials to the facility post-installation.

The Timilon team can help identify available grant funding to aid in procuring air purifiers for any facility.

Current Available Grants:

COVID-19 Prevention and Mitigation Assisted Living Communities and Personal Care Homes with 25 Beds + Grant – In Georgia

This grant program supports DCH-licensed Assisted Living Communities and Personal Care Homes with 25 beds or more that provide services to prevent and mitigate COVID-19 to the general public. The grant program will be available through the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds provided in the ARPA legislation to reimburse eligible costs incurred.

  • Provides reimbursement up to $100,000 per facility
  • Eligible expenses must comply with Section 4.0 or Section 6.0 of the Long-Term Care Facilities Reopening Guidance from the Georgia Department of Public Health Administrative Order
  • Eligible expenses related to indoor air quality include Ventilation improvements for the prevention and mitigation of COVID-19.
  • Allowable Expense Dates: March 3, 2021 – December 1, 2022

The Timilon team will work with you to create a Clean Air Action Plan for your facility.

First, the team completes an in-person or online site visit where we assess your facility and determine the best course of action to improve your indoor air quality. We identify high traffic areas, dead spots in ventilation, and areas that can be optimized with EnviroKlenz Air Systems. We then provide a detailed plan on how EnviroKlenz Air Systems can enhance your space with ventilation increases and where the systems will be placed as discussed in the walk-through. This information can be shared with stakeholders to inform on these improvements.

Once the Clean Air Action Plan is approved, the Timilon Team will order and install EnviroKlenz Air Systems for your facility. The systems will be delivered within 3-5 business days after ordered. Our team will be in contact with you to set up a time to install the systems. This service provides a convenient setup for facility managers and ensures the proper placement of the systems in the space.

The Timilon Team will provide you with community awareness such as signage, case studies, press materials, and more.

Timilon provides signage for your facility’s windows, doors, and air systems that share how EnviroKlenz Air Systems are working to protect your indoor air.

Timilon will conduct indoor air quality monitoring to record the impact that the EnviroKlenz Air Systems have on your air. This data will be reported back to you, allowing full transparency and visibility into the impact these air purifiers has on your space. This data can be shared with patrons and stakeholders, providing peace of mind and proof that the air purifiers are working to protect the space. The placement of Indoor Air Quality meters is based on approval and availability.

Timilon also offers press opportunities to share with the community how your facility is taking all extra precautions to ensure safety. This can be done through joint press releases and social media announcements provided by Timilon

Case Studies

As part of the Clean Indoor Air Advocates Program, Timilon will conduct indoor air quality monitoring, using Air Quality meters within your facility, to record the impact that the EnviroKlenz Air Systems have on particulate and contaminant reduction throughout your indoor air space.

The case studies below were conducted within community spaces to monitor the impact of EnviroKlenz Air Systems on particulate matter reduction. Data was collected within crucial, high-traffic areas to provide real-time measurements of particulate matter concentrations (PM1, PM2.5, and PM10) and particle size distribution using multiple particle sensors.

Air quality measures were taken with and without the EnviroKlenz® Air System turned on to compare levels of PM2.5.

Pre-installation of EnviroKlenz® Air System Plus
Baseline measurements reveal significant spikes in PM2.5 that are 52% higher than EPA’s national standard, averaging at 15.25 ug/m3 of PM2.5.

With EnviroKlenz® Air System Plus
Levels of PM2.5 average at 8.4 ug/m3, which is approximately 240% lower than average measures taken without added filtration; further, this is 20% lower than EPA’s national standards.

Air quality measures were taken with and without the EnviroKlenz® Air System turned on to compare levels of PM2.5.

Pre-installation of EnviroKlenz® Air System Plus
Initial baseline readings reveal PM2.5 levels at an average of 23.3ug/m3 over a three-day span, which is 133% higher than the EPA’s national standard of 10 ug/m3.

With EnviroKlenz® Air System Plus
PM2.5 levels decrease an average of 177% from baseline readings, reducing particulate matter to 9 times lower than EPA’s national standards; the lowest measure is below 1ug/m3.

Air quality measures were taken with and without the EnviroKlenz® Air System turned on to compare levels of PM2.5.

Pre-installation of EnviroKlenz® Air System Plus
Initial baseline measurements reveal PM2.5 levels 60% higher than EPA’s national standards with an average measure of 16 ug/m3 between 11 am and 9 pm on 9/15/21.

With EnviroKlenz® Air System Plus
With the EnviroKlenz Air System Plus turned on, measurements reveal an average PM2.5 level of 2.7 ug/m3 over the three-day span; this is 73% lower than EPA’s national standards.
